Slipknot is bringing Knotfest to the U.S.  The band shared the news during Saturday night's Mayhem Festival kickoff in San Bernardino, California, explaining that they plan to bring their own festival to the SoCal city from October 24th through the 26th.

Slipknot will headline the final two nights, while Danzig, Five Finger Death Punch, Volbeat, Killswitch Engage, Anthrax, and many more will be taking the stage during the three-day event.

And any fan who buys a ticket to Knotfest will also get a digital copy of Slipknot's upcoming album when it's eventually released.  Singer Corey Taylor suggested that the long-awaited follow-up to 2008's All Hope Is Gone is nearly done, but the record has yet to get an official release date.  More Knotfest details and tickets to the fest are available at

Slipknot is also set to host Knotfest Japan in November.  Limp Bizkit, Korn, Lamb of God, and others will join them for that festival on the 15th and 16th.
