Ozark Ending With "Supersized" 4th Season

Netflix just announced that Ozark has been renewed for a fourth and final season. According to Variety, Season 4 will consist of 14 episodes where the previous seasons have all been 10, but will be split into two 7-episode chunks. Executive producer and star Jason Bateman implies the extra episodes will allow the team to wrap up the Byrde family's story in style. His quote in the press release is below:

“A super sized season means super sized problems for the Byrdes. I’m excited to end with a bang(s).”

The drama series follows Marty Byrde, a financial planner involved in laundering drug cartel money, forced to relocate his family from Chicago to a summer resort community in the Ozarks after a scheme goes wrong. He and his wife have to juggle keeping their family safe, working to pay off a substantial debt to a Mexican drug lord, and navigating the complexities of the local criminal underworld. It stars Bateman, Laura Linney, Julia Garner, Sofia Hublitz, Skylar Gaertner, Charlie Tahan, and Lisa Emery.

No word yet on a release date for the first part of Season 4.
