Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong Covers 'I Think We’re Alone Now'

Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong has released a cover of “I Think We’re Alone Now.” The Ritchie Cordell–penned song was a hit for Tommy James & The Shondells in 1967. Tiffany had a hit with the song in 1987. According to Pitchfork, Billie Joe recorded his version of “I Think We’re Alone Now” in his bedroom.

Armstrong said the following on sharing music during this pandemic crisis:

“While we’ve all been in quarantine I’ve been reflecting on the things that matter the most in my life. Family, friends and of course music. I figure if we have to spend this time in isolation at least we can be alone together.”
